So, how does the cleaning process work?
Working from your normal outside drain outlet, we go up through the drain lines and into your tanks. Our special hydro jetting process uses 1500 psi of tank blasting water pressure to get your tanks back to factory new. It takes approximately 2 to 4 hours to clean most RV's, sometime less and sometimes MUCH more, depending on the condition of the tanks. The good news is When we're finished, they all come out out looking the same... Sparkling Clean, the Tank Rangers way!
So, what's going on with my tanks?
It is quite a job keeping up with your black and grey holding tanks, right? We are there with you. We are full-time RVers ourselves, have been since November of 2021, and totally understand the challenges of the RV lifestyle. Never a dull moment. There's always something to do.
Whether you are part-time or full-time, we can only do so much to clean our holding tanks without professional help.
We all start by emptying our black tanks, then turn on the on-board black tank flush until the water runs clear (or maybe less brown?), then rinse the sewer slinky with the water from the grey tanks. But, over time, after emptying our tanks we notice those darn sensors don't say "empty" anymore. What's with that? 1/3 full, 2/3 full. Now wait a minute, I know those tanks are empty, I just did it.
Here's what may be going on... water always takes the easy way out of your tanks (the path of least resistance).
Sludge (from using enzymes) sits on the bottom of your tanks and covers those sensors that simply using your on-board rinsing system can't get out. The whole bottom of your tank can have up to 2" of sludge sitting just below the tank drain outlet. Water just skims across the top and avoids rinsing all the corners (where your sensors are generally located) and bypasses the bottoms of your tanks. Whether you are draining or rinsing, water will always take the easy way out of your tanks. If your sensors are always wet from sludge, toilet paper, grease and such, the sensors think that is where the water level sits. Time for professional help.

Before You Leave for a Trip
Fill your gray and black water holding tanks about 10 gallons of fresh water. Then, add 1/2 cup of your PineSol Calgon solution into each tank. The sloshing motion of your moving RV combined with the water in the tanks will help break down solids, gently clean the tanks, and help with the overall health and maintenance of your RV’s waste-holding tanks.
During Your Trip or As You’re Using Your RV
Keep both the gray and black holding tank valves closed, even if a dump is available. Your tank's sensor panel should read “3/4ths FULL” to “FULL” before dumping. If they don’t and you need to dump, top off both tanks with fresh water for an accelerated exit flow.
When you leave the RV park, resort or campground, dump the holding tanks and fill each one 1/3rd full with fresh water for your trip home or to your next destination. This will help keep your tanks lubricated and the “sloshing” of the liquid minimizes ongoing maintenance needs.
After Your Trip
Top off both holding tanks with fresh water and dump them before storing. Be sure to winterize (if applicable) and add a lubricating antifreeze to tanks before storing long-term. This is a critical maintenance need.
