Common Questions and Answers for RV Tank Cleaning

Jerry RV Tank Cleaning

How does the Tank Rangers process work?

We use a 1,500 psi hydro pump to go up through your sewer outlet into each tank. With our unique process we are able to remove years of build-up to get your tanks factory clean. After the cleaning, your tanks are thoroughly rinsed, one at a time, to ensure they are squeaky clean!

How long does this process take?

Each tank cleaning situation is as different as the RV owner, water usage (or lack of), and maintenance schedules. Another big factor is the age (year) of the RV. Given all these differing factors, the process can take anywhere from 2 to 5 hours.

Does the cleaning process make a mess?

The short answer is no. We take all precautions necessary to insure a clean process throughout until we are finished. Our kleening standards and precautions keep us in good standing with many RV parks.

Will this disturb our neighbors?

No. We won't disturb your neighbors. Our cleaning process is no louder than a humming sound. You can carry on a conversation standing next to the pump.

What do you need from us?

All we require to go to work for you is to have these 3 things;

1) At least a 20 amp power outlet. We typically use either the 50 or 30-amp outlets (whichever is available), but a regular electrical outlet can be used.

2) Water hookups

3) A typical sewer outlet that will be found in each spot at most RV parks. Remember that some State Parks may not have sewer outlets.

Do you need to enter our RV to clean the tanks?

95% of the time, we don't need access to the inside. But, there are those rare times that, no matter how hard we try, our hose can't get into your black tank. If that happens, there is a different setup that can be done (all with no mess), from inside your bathroom, to clean down through the toilet. Another time would be if you have a clog in the toilet tube. These clogs can only be cleared from the inside.

I'm very interested in the cleaning process. Do you mind if I watch?

There is no problem with you watching and asking questions. Just grab a lawn chair, a cup of coffee, then come sit a spell. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

We are having some issues. Can we call you for some advice?

Sure! If your issue or question can be solved or answered with a phone call, that's all the better. We are happy to help in any way.
